Glia maturation factor gamma (GMFG) in breast cancer.
Triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC) has a poor prognosis due to the lack of established targeted treatment options.
The Glia Maturation Factor gamma (GMFG), a novel ADF/cofilin superfamily protein, has been reported to be differentially expressed in tumors, but its expression level in TNBC remains unknown.
A new study analyzed the expression of GMFG in pan-cancer and the correlation between clinical factors. The data were pulled from different databases, including the Human Protein Atlas.
🔬GMFG expression in breast cancer tissues was also analyzed by immunohistochemistry (IHC) using our Polyclonal Anti-GMFB antibody (HPA002954).
👉 The results indicate that high expression of GMFG in triple-negative breast cancer is related to malignancy and that GMFG could be a biomarker for detecting triple-negative breast cancer metastasis.
